Ms. Debjani Mitra is the Owner and guiding force behind GK Institute of Healthcare and Skill Development. With extensive experience in the education sector and a deep commitment to skill development, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the institute’s mission to empower students with practical healthcare knowledge and employable skills. She oversees the institute’s Governing Body, which is responsible for curriculum development, faculty standards, infrastructure enhancement, and industry collaboration — more detail is available on our Governing Body page.
Teaching Faculty
Rajat Patra — DMLT Instructor
Rajat Patra teaches on the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) programme at GK Institute, with 5 years of experience in the field. His teaching covers the core areas of the DMLT curriculum — haematology and blood analysis, clinical biochemistry, microbiology and serology, blood banking and transfusion medicine, and clinical pathology — combining classroom instruction with hands-on laboratory sessions. Students in his batches also receive guidance during their hospital-based internship placements, where DMLT trainees apply lab techniques under supervision in real diagnostic settings.
