Course Overview:
The Diploma in Critical Care Management is a two-year specialized vocational program designed to prepare students for one of the most essential and challenging roles in healthcare: managing critically ill or injured patients in intensive care units (ICUs), emergency rooms (ERs), trauma centers, and other high-dependency units.

4. Trauma Care and Resuscitation
Management of trauma patients (blunt, penetrating, burn injuries)

CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) procedures
Year 2 – Advanced Clinical Techniques & Professional Practice
5. Advanced Life Support (ALS)
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support: Airway, breathing, circulation, arrhythmia management
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support: Pediatric assessment and resuscitation
Simulation-based training and certification preparation
6. Diagnostic and Monitoring Procedures
ECG, blood gas analysis, X-ray, CT scan interpretation basics
Use of pulse oximeter, BP monitors, cardiac monitors, and other diagnostic tools
7. Ethical and Legal Aspects in Critical Care
Patient rights and informed consent
Medical negligence and liability in emergency situations
Code of conduct for critical care professionals
