Course Overview:
The Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT) is a two-year vocational program that trains students to become skilled Operation Theatre (OT) Technicians. As a vital member of the surgical team, an OT Technician ensures the smooth functioning of the OT environment before, during, and after surgical procedures. This course is affiliated with Bharat Sevak Samaj (BSS) and is conducted by GK Institute of Healthcare and Skill Development, a recognized healthcare training institute in Kolkata.
The program combines theoretical instruction with hands-on training to prepare students for real-time responsibilities in hospitals, nursing homes, and surgical units.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) from any recognized board
All streams are eligible (Science preferred for better subject understanding)
No upper age limit

Year 2 – Advanced Surgical Assistance & Anaesthetic Techniques

6. Anesthesia Techniques & Equipment Management
Introduction to anaesthesia types (local, regional, general)

Use of central oxygen supply
